I have had multiple issues with this company and it is all their customer service. Love the products, which is a shame, but the people who work in customer service DO NOT CARE. I used to work there several years ago and a lot of the processes regarding returns and refunds were hopelessly outdated and NOT customer friendly. It seems to have only gotten worse since I worked there. Shop in the stores, but do NOT bother with online. 90% of the time the item will be on "backorder" (meaning they have no idea when it will be in), refunds take FOREVER, and if you have an issue they just say, "Sorry, is there anything else?" No effort put in to actually solve the problem. Take your money elsewhere.
Well, I didn't think I'd write this about Soma - to be honest I thought they were an honest/straightforward company. I have spent hundreds of dollars with them the past year purchasing many things mainly from their Cool Nights collection. Unfortunately I had to return a few when there wasn't size consistency. My biggest complaint is this - they don't regularly include all pertinent detailed information about their items. For example, I have purchased several sleep camis & shorts. After reading a product's description, I chose not to purchase tops that have an elastic built-in bra or shelf liner. I don't want elastic around my rib cage when I am sleeping. But the set I ordered came in WITH a shelf liner even though it was NOT mentioned in the item's description. I returned it. Just ordered another set last week and AGAIN the cami has an elastic shelf bra that is NOT mentioned in description. So I left an honest review (2 stars) as set was cute but not including full details means it is unusable for me. I urged them to please include this info in item descriptions for customers who prefer camis without it. Mind you, other items DO have it listed so it's not that they are unable to. I also left a truthful positive review about another item in my order. I'm not someone who complains unnecessarily. So I get an email - they declined to post my review. WHAT? My review was about the item and pointed out features I didn't care for. So now I know - they weed out the not-so-glowing ones. Basically, if you're not complimentary or subtlety critical then they pull it. I am very disappointed. You really can't count on the integrity of their item reviews. I guess I won't be ordering the replacement set I had picked out. Buyer beware.

I ordered two bras May 14. Wasn't told one of them was on backorder until *after* I bought it. It said backordered until May 24. Not terrible so it was fine. Flash forward to June 7 and it's still not shipped. My first bra came and doesn't fit so I need to ship it back. But return shipping isn't free (seriously? Most bra sites should and do offer free returns) so I might have to pay return shipping twice if the other one doesn't fit either. The return window will likely be closed by the time the other one comes so I can't just wait. I decided to reach out to customer service to see what they say. Not only did they have NO idea when I would get my bra, but also their only solution was to cancel it. Why are they selling a bra that isn't in stock and apparently won't be anytime soon in the first place? Customer service was completely unapologetic, unfriendly, and made no attempts at coming up with a good solution. Just, "we can cancel". I still want the bra?! Otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it.
I ordered a pajama set. The top was mailed but I got an email that said the bottoms were delayed. I received the top but never received the bottoms or heard from them in regards to them again. I washed the top & it shrunk so bad I couldn't wear it. I contacted customer service & they said I received the bottoms even though I never did. Their customer service department is worthless. Don't waste your money here!
HORRIBLE customer service. They take forever on the phone and live chat and you barely come to resolution.
I've had 2 orders cancelled on me (poor website management of inventory) and didn't find out it was cancelled until 2 weeks later and it was for a gift. I spent a lot of time on the phone for the second order trying to find a similar item in stock to have the same cancellation experience. I could understand if it was a more immediate cancellation notice but it takes so long that it creates issues with your gifts and also shows poor monitoring of your stock.
I spent a fair amount of time with customer service trying to at least have them offer me some type of discount as a measure of goodwill and they claimed they gave me 20% off but months later when I tried another order, there was no 20% and the website didn't even recognize my email address. Then I spent a very long time with the live chat trying to get my 20% off and even then, they couldn't just give me a code to get it over with. They can only apply discounts after I order so now I'll have to monitor this order to make sure they actually did what they said (if it even goes through). It's just a really unpleasant, unhelpful customer service experience. I never want to order anything from here but unfortunately, my sister likes Soma products. It's frustrating when you spend this much time trying to give them business and you end up disgruntled and without the items you wanted.
As much as I love Soma's bras and night wear, I absolutely cannot wear their panties. The fabric is soft, but the seams on the inside are incredibly rough and irritating. I cannot wear them for an entire day. The seams are on both legs and the waist. Of course, you don't realize this until you have tried to wear them and discover the uncomfortable seam. I will be returning the unworn panties.
I've never felt more unwelcome at a Soma store than when I went to the Shoppes at the Promenade in Center Valley today. First of all, no one came to ask my daughter and I if we needed help until about 10 minutes after we had been in the store. We were struggling to find the dress sizes and they were on a hanger higher up. All the associate asked was if she could start a dressing room for us. That was the last we heard from anyone. We had to search through drawers for bras, re-entered the dressing room three times and no assistance from the three store associates. Upon checkout, I had to ask the associate if she wanted my number so I could get credit for this purchase. Unbelievable! Sorry, but we will never be going to that store again!
Went into the store an associate measured me she's like this is your size brought me a bra it fit. I bought 3 of them she picked them out cause she knew what I needed. I hate them I'm falling all over the place I she gave me a different size I spent all that money for nothing I can't even wear them never again will I go there.
I have been a long time shopper at lots of Chico stores starting in your first stores in Ft. Myers Fl. I have spent thousands of $ in Chico's & love their clothes.
I recently bought several bras in the Soma store in the Villages. I had a $100 Chicos gift card which i was told i could use in Somas as well. I was told by the store manage, MaryBitting, the gift cards were interchangable. I returned the bras several days later & was given a Soma gift card in return. She assured me twice it could also be used at Chicos. When i tryed to use it at a Chicos store they wouldn't take it. I went back to the Soma store in the Villages & talked to the assistant manager Christine, who told me they were not interchangable. Had a been told that i never would have used my Chicos $100 gift card. I feel i was lied to twice. I will never buy another thing in that Soma store & i will be telling my many friends how I was lied to twice!

I have been a passionate fan of SOMA's Cool Nights pajamas and Wkend collections since May 2018. Not only is the fabric absolutely luxurious, but it also offers gorgeous/beautiful prints. Even better - the colors and prints of bottoms and tops enable unlimited interchangeability! Of course, that requires several bottoms and tops - the more the better! Honestly, sometimes it's hard to get out of bed in the morning because of how wonderful this fabric feels against my skin!
I made my initial purchase in late Dec and it took over 3 weeks to arrive. I returned it and it was picked up by USPS in Jan 11th. As of Feb 18th, it is still being processed. I reached out to customer service and they said it's taking longer because of the holidays. Seriously, five weeks later and it's still being bounced around to different warehouses. Do not make an inline purchase for this company - you will regret it!
as with others i am still waiting for my refund from november. i have called, emailed with no luck. just get ignored. i will never ever purchase from them again.

Weeks ago I placed an order online with Soma. I received an e-mail that my order was received and my credit card was immediately charged. A hold was not place, it was charged. I have not heard a word since nor have I received the items I ordered. I have tried e-mailing, calling, and live chat and can't get ANY response. It was a significant order, I am now having to claim this as fraud with my credit card company for a refund. I had never shopped from them before and heard good things about their products. I will never know because I will never, ever again attempt a purchase. It seems their online ordering is some type of scam.

Absolutely! I've purchased several bras from them and they are amazingly soft and comfortable. I just ordered some night shirts and will order more because they are so soft. My sister has started to order from them too and she has been nothing but pleased.

SOMA.com is a very legit company. I've purchased several products from them online, as has my sister, and we've been very pleased with their products and their customer service. Have had no problems with them at all.
